The BTS, equivalent to the Higher National Diploma, meets these needs for qualifications and skills with the objective of immediate professional integration.
The BTS is prepared over 2 years and allows for the acquisition of a professional qualification in the commercial sector and service activities. The skills acquired respond to the globalization of exchanges and productive systems, which today require in-depth technological knowledge, operational know-how, and management capabilities.
Statistics from recent years demonstrate the high rate of professional integration of BTS holders (100%). Recognized internationally, the BTS can be a stepping stone for further studies leading to a bachelor’s and master’s degree, both in Mauritius and abroad.

Why choose a diploma ?
An internationally recognized diploma
The BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) is a national diploma of the French higher education system which is part of the European system of LMD (Licence (Degree) – Masters – Doctorat – PhD). The European Credit Transfer System which allows a student to move through any educational system of the countries of the European Union. The BTS counts for a total of 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).
For companies engaged in international competition, the BTS complies with the demands of technical and professional training as defined by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO): “A general education that involves the study of techniques and related sciences, the acquisition of practical skills, attitudes, understanding and knowledge related to the professions of the various sectors of economic and social life.” (Technical and Vocational Education and Training for the 21st Century).
A short professional training (+ 2 years of higher education)
- At MCCI Business School, BTS is a two-year program following a Higher School Certificate or Baccalaureate, offered in partnership with Lycée La Bourdonnais under the aegis of the Rectorate of the University of Reunion and the French Embassy. .
- Specialisation in a professional field with a quick and direct immersion in active professional life
- The training combines theory and practical courses led by professionals.
Discovering the Workplace
Internships are organized by the school, subject to an agreement with companies. BTS students undertake 12-14 weeks of internships over the academic year and are supervised by a professional tutor.
Further Studies post-BTS
Further studies can be undertaken both in Mauritius and abroad. MCCI Business School offers the possibility of full-time or part-time studies for a bachelor’s degree or master’s in collaboration with the University of Angers in view of obtaining a state diploma. It is also possible to apply for a bachelor’s degree or master’s in universities as well as specialised schools of France or other parts of Europe.
Conditions for Admission and Application
BTS courses take place over two years on full-time or work/study basis following HSC/BAC. They are open to students who have succeeded in BAC or HSC. Candidates will have to apply and participate in an interview.
BTS / Diploma
The BTS is a two-year program, accessible to holders of a Higher School Certificate or Baccalaureate. This French national diploma is offered in partnership with the Lycée La Bourbonnais under the aegis of the “Académie” of Reunion Island and the French Embassy
Bachelor Degree
The MCCI Business School has been proposing for more than 15 years, bachelor’s degree (HSC/BAC+3) in collaboration with the University of Reunion and the University of Angers. The bachelor’s degree is open to Diploma holders as well as executives who wish to upgrade their academic qualifications.
Master
Masters programs are designed to help you build a solid professional project and deepen your knowledge in a specific field. The Masters offered are French national diplomas that are highly recognized internationally, offering quality training whilst developing skills and competencies of professionals from different sectors.
